Rearranging Things

I’m on a bit of a cleaning kick right now.

Getting rid of the dirt and the things that don’t work. If I’m gonna be stuck at home, I may as well take advantage.

This cleaning is not just physical, either. It’s a cleansing of the mind, of preconceived ideas about the things I thought I’d be doing by now, the places I thought I’d be.

Not everything that feels like a waste is wasted.

This blog will look a lot different this year. The posts will, on average, be far shorter and far more frequent. I’ve also realized that I tend to treat blog posts like term papers — force of habit. So now, they’ll tend to look more like this, prosaic yet poetic in the way that I most naturally process the world.

I think it’s better this way. I’m happier already.

Now I'm off to do more cleaning, both inside and out. Until next time.

-D.
