The Constant, Cosmic Cycle

I just noticed how everything is always moving.

Cycles are how we operate in the world. Life cycles, relationship cycles, weather cycles.

Even dishwasher cycles, washing and drying cycles.

Seasons, moon phases, months, musical notes. Marriage, divorce, life, death, love, heartbreak, belonging, loneliness, changes in location and profession.

These days, it’s sometimes hard to feel like anything is moving at all. But it is. Everything always is.

And through it all, we continue to breathe, just like the very first day we arrived. Still breathing, still taking in air filtered in from the vents above our heads, the wind blowing through the trees, the roots strong and anchored beneath the earth.

We continue to breathe, until our cycle — on this side of existence — is over.

Just some thoughts. May pneuma continue to carry you through the cycles in your life.

-D.
