The Ladybug (Poem)

Speckled with water drops
Gracious enough to show us your colors
The only insect I ever could admire,
You wear the title proudly through nature

I wonder what places your mind goes, if it passes the same borders as ours
Do you know what your given name is?
Does it offend you that we have called it upon ourselves
to deem you good and proper?

Please recite your poem, madam
I give you the floor
To divulge your precious secret to this wandering species:
What is your name for us?

-D.
