Waiting for Harvest

At this point, perhaps feeling "stuck in motion" has been a recurring theme in my posts.

But that makes sense, right? I mean, if these times have highlighted anything for so many of us, it's that we're all one disaster away from being stuck, unsure of things we were certain of only yesterday.

But there's value in knowing that something is on the horizon, even if you don't know what it may be, or what it may look like. There's value in planting our seeds faithfully, under the bright, sweltering sun and with dirt all over our worn jeans.

There's value in knowing that there will be a harvest.

These past couple of weeks have been frustrating in certain ways, but at the same time I feel as though things are moving along in my life in ways they haven't been in a very long time. I've always known I was moving towards something, but feeling that movement is different. It's hope-giving. It feels good.

With a mindset shift comes different problems to work through, but now it's obvious that I can work through them, because I have. I'm still breathing.

Tonight, I'm celebrating my breath. I hope you can find the time to celebrate yours as well. And when that harvest comes, may we all admire the rewards we've reaped, rather than looking ahead to the next season too quickly.

Until next time,

-D.
